Compliance & Scraping Policy
Last Updated: May 26, 2026
At LeadScrapper Pro, we believe in full operational transparency. This Compliance Policy details how our local discovery engines index publicly available records, respect target system capacities, and adhere to global privacy frameworks like GDPR, CCPA, and PECR.
1. Legality of Public Data Scraping
Our platform indexes publicly accessible business directories, map listings, and corporate websites. We only aggregate general, non-sensitive business entity details (such as company name, official website URL, business phone number, and average Google rating) for local site auditing purposes.
U.S. Legal Precedent: Under established federal rulings (including the landmark hiQ Labs v. LinkedIn decision), scraping publicly available data on the internet that is not protected by username/password walls is completely legal and does not constitute unauthorized access.
GDPR Legitimate Interest: Under Article 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), processing public directory entries serves the legitimate commercial interest of assisting businesses in auditing site security and performance. We do not aggregate private consumer data.
2. Crawl Compatibility & Robots.txt
Our audit and discovery engine is designed to be a good citizen of the web. We strictly enforce the following protocols:
- Robots Exclusion Standard: Before conducting website health checks, our scraper parses the target domain's robots.txt file and respects all disallow directives.
- Crawl Delays: We strictly honor configurable Crawl-delay parameters specified by webmasters.
- Sequential Execution: Our system throttles requests to prevent target server load spikes. We limit our crawl depth to essential homepage audits, ensuring zero interference with website operations.
3. Business Opt-Out and Removal Process (Right to be Forgotten)
We respect the preferences of local business operators and explicitly support the"Right to be Forgotten" (Right to Erasure) under GDPR and similar global privacy frameworks. If you wish to have your public business listing permanently excluded from our local cache and search index, we offer a simple and prompt removal process.
Please email us at thenavital@gmail.com with:
- Your Business Entity Name
- Your Official Website URL
- Your Business Address
Upon verification, your listing details will be blacklisted and erased from our databases within 30 days, preventing any future indexation or search results.
4. User Outreach and Anti-Spam Compliance
LeadScrapper Pro provides technical site analytics to help agencies pitch local business upgrades. However, users are strictly required to ensure their outreach matches local regulations:
- CAN-SPAM Act: U.S. outreach must include a clear way to opt-out, represent the sender honestly, and avoid misleading header details.
- GDPR & PECR: Outreach to European entities must be customized, offer immediate opt-out rights, and satisfy local legitimate interest assessments.
We do not support, condone, or permit bulk automated spamming via our platform.
5. Contact and Abuse Reporting
If you suspect a user of our platform is violating our acceptable use guidelines, or if you have questions about our scraping infrastructure, please contact us immediately at thenavital@gmail.com.
